Disclaimer: This story is based on characters and situations created and owned by JK Rowling, various publishers including but not limited to Bloomsbury Books, Scholastic Books and Raincoat Books, and Warner Bros., Inc. No many is being made and no copyright or trademark infringement is intended.

Author Note: Um well I'm not exactly sure what to put here O.o So I think I'll just go ahead to the Writing Style portion.

Writing Style: I tend to go into detail a lot when whatever I'm describing interests me. I write, mostly, slash, however, I do have a chaptered fic whose two main pairings are both slash AND hentai. My genres range from Romance [always], Angst [most of the time], Humor [loads of it], and Drama [everywhere]. When I write something that involves a particular emotion, I visualize the situation happening to me so that when I write the details, I'm getting the right sense of feeling.

Once he set his radiating lover down, Cedric picked up the cake, and led Harry into the kitchen. And as he took his first bite, his eyes widened and he stared at Harry. "This is splendid, Harry!" he exclaimed.

The young man heard the scraping of a chair on the floor, and he looked up. Cedric stood before him holding out a simple heart shaped card, his left hand behind his neck smiling uncertainly.

But Harry took the letter, handling it delicately. As he read the incept, silent tears coursed down his cheeks.

He jumped up, the letter swaying gently onto the table, and he wrapped his arms around Cedric's neck.

Dear Harry,

I love you! Just writing that puts a smile on my face. You put a smile on my face.

I love you because of your sweetness, your kindness, your tenderness, and your thoughtfulness.

I love you because you are my dear friend and loving companion. You smile at my silly jokes and enjoy my youthful spirit.

I love you because I have a longing to be close to you and you long to be close to me. I love snuggling with you in front of a fire and cuddling with you as we watch TV. I love to be near you. I love holding your hand on a walk during the day and holding your hands across the table at a restaurant at night.

I love you because you listen to me as I share the small triumphs or struggles of the day.

I love you because in moments of friction between us, you hear me out. Even when you don’t agree with me, you listen with a longing to understand me.

I love you because you respect me. You honor the man that I am, rather than try to make me into someone I am not. You suffer my imperfections and my shortcomings largely without complaint.

I love you because you appreciate me. You enjoy my attentiveness and appreciate my efforts to romance you. You appreciate my generosity to yourself and my generosity toward others.

I love you,

Cedric

P.S. I love you. From now until forever, and from forever onward until the end of time.

Cedric nervously fiddled with the small black box in his coat pocket as he made his way to work. That day was his and Harry's first anniversary, and Cedric was planning on asking Harry to be his eternal partner. Officially that is.

He sighed, and entered the elevator. 'This day is going to go by very fast,' he mentally murmured.

An incredible plane crash into the World Trade Center...

"No," Harry whispered.

He ran out of the house and jumped into his car, his heart beating profoundly and his mind racing.

Cedric, Cedric, Cedric

Another plane zoomed overhead and rammed into the second tower causing a massive explosion.
Harry fell to the ground, screaming. "CEDRIC!"

There were panicked voices everywhere, circling around the young man and making his lungs tighten and his eyes sting. His heart seemed frozen and it was beating so fast, the blood was bounding in his ears.

Journal Entry 1

August 3, 1994

Thirteen years old, and his eyes, his eyes. They were twin emeralds, dulled and beautiful, endless and ageless. The pain, the sorrow, those eyes.

It might have been that day, almost one year ago, when it all started. I was happy and sad and angry and confused and – and those…his eyes! I hate you and I hate me and I hate him. But I don’t and I can’t and I don’t want to.

He was your first born, and you named me the godfather. Just like how we used to joke about. And you were happy and she was happy and I…and I wasn’t. I was lost and lonely and everyone was leaving me.

And then you both were killed. And I was blamed. And I was more alone and lost and lonely and scared then I had been. We used to joke about fear. We were stupid and young and foolish. But I was really and truly frightened! They thought I had killed you! You! The man who treated me like a brother, who accepted me despite my family, who gave me a godson. My best friend.

----

And then your son came in midsummer. And it was better and I was happier and the house didn’t feel like a prison as much as it had.

And – and – and. No, I can’t but I need to and I don’t want to. And – and – and. James, get ready to hate me.

It was that summer, the summer of your son’s fourteenth birthday that I realized I had fallen in love with him.
