You forget that Slytherin won the House Cup several times in a row before Harry Potter came to school and Dumbledore started favoring him outrageously.

I do admit that Dumbledore does favor Harry.

BUT Snape favored EVERYONE in his House. So you would have to factor THAT into how they've won the House Cup. (although I do still love Snape <333...)

As much as I love Ravenclaw and want to say how amazing it is, I feel I should point something out:

Snape's favouring of his house was only to counteract the natural distrust/dislike of Slytherins.

Okay...now I can say Ravenclaw still wins. ^^

Still. Dumbledore's favoring Harry offsets Snape's dislike of Gryffindors in general as well. XD

I know. How much was that stupid extra points at the end of PS. I was so pissed off, esp. when watching the movie.
I was like, No way do they deserve that. Either you save the world or you don't, don't expect any rewards for it.

And I also think it was unfair for Dumbledore not to continue it. If Harry's gunna save the world almost every book, they why doesn't he get points in ever single one?

I agree with you ^^That was stupid but you know he was 11 at the time and didn't eactly volunteer for the job so I can see where he should get a bit something (not that I'm rooting for Gyffindor, you understand)

And yes, Dumbledore was a great man/wizard but I hardly see how well his daring and foolish rushing about helped him any, if he hadn't been so careless with that ring he'd still be alive.... and Gryffindor tendencies claim another victim. *sigh*

Here in Ravenclaw we speak sarcasm as a 2nd Language
We're always right, even when we're wrong we're right (a lot like women in that respect)

(Bah....There goes my House pride...but) Yeah, when I first read the book, I liked Dumbledore. Somewhere in between, I started disliking him and which totally turned me into a Voldie fan. He told Harry that the prophecy made about Voldie and Harry was only something said and doesn't necessarily have to happen. However, what did he do? He threw Harry in front of danger every single time. Now what's with that? And Snape was right. Forgot the exact quote but Dumbledore was exactly raising a pig up for slaughter. >.<...At least Voldie admits that he is a manipulating freak.

With that said...

Isn't sarcasm more of a Slytherin thing? And the "we're right even if we're wrong"? And the insulting thing? Pffffft...=P

Oh, now that you've mentioned it, we've still won the House Cup after the first year of Harry. When Dumbledore did not give those points.

We own you all. Explanations:

A) Our major players:

-Severus Snape: He was just friggin brilliant. In fact, I move that he was even greater than Voldemort (duh, he managed to fake him out for however many years) and Dumbledore (he had enough courage to kill and still have a soul) and Harry, because, face it, in a fair duel, Harry would go down in less than oh, fifteen seconds.

-Draco Malfoy: Despite being a snivelly little coward, he had tremendous potential, as proved in HBP. How many freaked out little pureblood princes could have put two and two together to come up with the matching cabinets, then actually get it finished?

-Regulus Black: He was even braver than his big brother. Sure, it takes courage to get yourself thrown out of the family. I think it takes more to stick with it and never get real recognition for the vital part you've played. (Hey Gryffies, tell Sirius I'm sorry and I still love him. :O)

-Lord Voldemort: Hey, he may have been pretty evil, but he pushed boundaries. So did Dumbles. But Voldie gets rap for it? At least our man wasn't gay. =P

-Bellatrix Lestrange: She's just insane. =D And she managed to kill Sirius, and Dobby, and Fred, and a bunch of other peeps. Mostly Sirius. (-snivel-)

-Narcissa Malfoy: She proves that we can be human. After all, if it weren't for her, we'd all be under Voldie's thumb at the moment.

B) Other Houses:

-Puffs? Weak. Yeah, loyalty and caring are lovely, but they're just not always worth it. Your enemies aren't gonna respect you at all. We sure don't.

-Ravenclaws? You're even more arrogant than we are, because you think you're the smartest. You're not. Sorry. Bet you wouldn't last in a test that you couldn't study for. Stick to the paperwork, dearies.

-Gryffies? Urgh. Your standards are all simply idiotic. Bravery to the point of stupidity. At least we know when to retreat. You may all go down fighting, but we'll always survive to fight another day. =P

C) Other random logic:

-If I was the Sorting Hat, Dumbledore would have been a Slytherin. All that manipulation was not the act of a Gryffindor. I think he had the right idea, personally. Down with Harry-Sue!

-What fun is a story if you don't have a so-called "bad guy" to blame your losses on? Without us, there would be no Harry Potter. Voldie wouldn't exist, Gryffindor would have no one to bitch about, Ravenclaw would have no intellectual rivals (except maybe Hermione), and Hufflepuff would have no one to blame for getting picked on.

Conclusion:

We rock. We're like the other three lame-o houses dissected for the best parts and blended together. We are arrogant because we can be. It is possible for us to be right even when we're wrong. Because right and wrong is a matter of perspective. And no one knows that better than us.

We are Slytherin.

Pfffft. I'm pretty sure that none of the girls could win Hermione in a wizarding duel.
Then you people get Crabbe and Goyle because of the pureblood issues. I'm sure both of them are smart, cunning, etc. How about some cupcakes for the day? I promise I won't put any potions in there.

(I still love you Slytherins!!! <333...Especially the ones you've mentioned evanescent 17 *sobs*...I was so upset when Bella died. Of course I knew she was going to die but by MOLLY WEASLEY? Give me a break =.=)
